Gary released his first CD in 1998 titled "Inside The Blues", containing 17 tracks, including six original compositions. The CD was recorded “Studio Live” on a 4 track tape recorder, with no overdubs or multi-tracking. The band lineup featured Pete Henderson on guitar, and included current band mate Ray Fisk on bass. Blues Review magazine reviewed the CD in their July/August issue. Inside The Blues is available. Contact Gary for ordering at gbernath@aol.com. Best Unsigned Act: The Gary Bernath Band burned through Inside the Blues (GBB001) live in the studio, and the results are electrifying. Bernath doubles on harp and saxophone and sings creditably; guitarist Peter Henderson gets the nod for "tone of the month" - nice clean lines, too, in styles from Magic Sam to Albert King. The band nails half a dozen originals and gives dead on readings of twice that many standards from all points blue (swamp to Houston to Chicago). An hour-plus well spent. - Blues Review Magazine

Gary’s second CD release came as a member of The West End Blues Band. Released in 2003, “Just Because I’m Out of Money” was the result of a writing and recording collaboration between Gary and guitarist Jim Atkinson. Jim was the original founder of the West End Blues Band in the early 1980’s. Restructured in 2001 to include current Gary Bernath Band members Ray Fisk on bass, Jimmy Lavezzo on drums, and Dave Stringham on saxophone, the band performed in area clubs while writing and recording original tracks for the CD. “Just Because I’m Out of Money” released in 2003 and contains 18 great sounding tracks! All of the cuts on the CD were written and performed by the band members, and recorded with a lot of help from Bill Smith at Club 39 Studio in Sudbury – Thanks Bill! Although the West End Blues Band is no longer active, The CD is available by visiting the band’s web site: westendblues.home.comcast.net
